excellent season both in pro and college football. hope to keep it up the rest of the way.

NFC GOY : Philladelphia moneyline !

1 - who wants it more ?
First off all, Philly needs this one more. They are tied with Dallas at 8-3 in the NFC East while Carolina has a 3 game lead on New Orleans (and TB if they beat NYG) in the NFC South.
Philly cant afford to lose this game and face dallas trailing them by a full game , if dallas beat miami at home. Carolina can afford a lot of things, given there lead in the NFC South and there schedule the rest of the way (Atlanta 2-9, Arizona 3-8, Detroit 3-8, Nyg 4-6)

2 - momentum ?
Carolina is only 3-3 in there last six after starting the season 5-0, while the Eagles are cruising winning six straight and 8 of 9, after 2 losses in there first two games of the season.

3 - schedule ?

Philly hits the road after 2 home games only to come back for another home game the following week. They will be a team on a mission in Carolina. They are 13-1 su in isolated road games including 6-0 as underdogs. They have not been looking ahead this season and they were beating there opponents regardles who they face next, so I don't think they will be looking ahead to there meeting vith dallas in week 14.They have been the definition of road warriors winning 3 straight road games and 8 of there last 10. Carolina plays there isolated home game and they lost last three of this kind including there game vs titans earlier this season.

4. defense ?

Philly allowed 20- pts in six straight games, winning four of there last five by at least a touchdown.Carolinas defense not nearly as good as early in the season.as they allowed 20+ in 5 of last 7.

5.fatigue factor ?

Philly had easy time in there last two games while carolina gotta feel a little bit tired after 5 straight tight games deided by 4 pts or less.

6. stats ?

phillys inability to stop the run is a concern against carolinas running game but hey, the eagles have been outrushed in there last 6, and thats exactly where there 6 game streak started. before that, they were 2-3 su and 1-4 ats while outrushing all of there opponents. not many teams can win while being constantly outrushed, but philly can do just that.Carolina's passing game (both offensively and defensively) is not good at all and thats exactly what philly needs. they dont need no freaking running game.

7.capping the linemakers

carolina has been a very unpredictable team at home lately, winning once as a dog, losing once as a favorite, and barely edging the redskins as a 6 pt fav. the eagles have been unpredictable on the road, winning as underdogs 3 times and barely edging atlanta in a game they were expected to win big. this time the linemakers expect carolina win a close game against philly, and ptw says no. philly wins this one. gl, ptw.

Philly outrushed the jets by a ton these stats are ?. I like carolina in this one. Carolina has atl az on deck Philly looking ahead to biggest game of the year and revenge vs dallas. Philly lays down 23-10 carolina

nepenthe, thanks man and gl to you.

lockline. you are right about philly outrushing the jets, i overlooked that. they had 6.1 ypr against 5.2 for the jets.but stil they were outrushed in other five games and stil won all five of them.i can see why you think this will be a lookahead game for the eagles, but i think they can't afford to lose to carolina and to face dallas possibly one game behind in the standings. i think they will be ready to play against the panthers.many expected a philly letdown yesterday after the sweep of nyg, but they beat the saints easily. not many expected them to play that well against the giants , and to sweep them, after the upset win at green bay, but they crushed the giants.no letdown/lookahead when they met atlanta in between there games vs the jets and the packers.historically, theres no look ahead before they play the cowboys. they won last five in this spot.this team seems to be playing one game at the time and i like that.carolina feels very confortable and they know they can win three of there 4 post-philly games very easily.and basically, they need to win only two of them. i know its unbelievable, but mathematically, carolina could win this division even if they lose all there remaining games.i dont think they need this one as much as philly. gl to you, ptw.

one team from the teaser is already in da bank. hope i dont jinx the other games now lol.

philly in a great position now. they control there destiny. they need to beat carolina to enter there contest with dallas up one game, and then they can basically knock the cowgirls out with a win in there matchup in week 14.

Don't tell anyone ptw but the defense gets healthier every week...Dawkins and Taylor will be back and then Jimmy can go back to loading up the blitz packages again! Nothing against Lito Sheppard but he isn't really groomed to be on an island yet in this D. We need Bobby back!

Good luck...

From PhiladelphiaEagles.com:

As it stands now, both Dawkins and Taylor will suit up Sunday. Does that mean Jim Johnson will use more dime coverage and blitz his secondary players more? I can't wait to see what he throws out there against the Panthers.

HUGE if they play....this gives me more confidence in them winning this game than anything else to this point.
